Welcome
Since 2008, we've been engaging in an effort to bridge further connections in the field of non profit professionals and organizations via direct contact and social media networking. Our goal is to work with grass roots organizations and leading institutions to provide cost effective, efficient and impactful services to those interested in capacity building, community development and increasing the health and well being of the clients you serve.
Scott Spicer is currently working in Southwest Michigan's non profit sector and has expertise in public health, prevention, community organizing, grant writing, fundraising, diversity and social justice. He has a wide range of experiences that contribute to his ability to provide innovative and team based services. Scott began his career in the non profit sector almost 10 years ago when he served as an Americorps National Service member in College. From there Scott went on to work for a local Keep America Beautiful Affiliate and engaged in numerous activities as a student leader. Scott completed his Master's field practicum with Healtnet of California Inc. in the Cultural and Linguistic Services Department. Following this Scott worked as an Americorps VISTA for the American Red Cross in San Francisco, led a State funded, evidence based prevention and community organizing project at the Youth Leadership Institute in San Rafael, CA spent a short time developing a staff position for the West County Alcohol Policy Working Group in Contra Costa County, after which he served as Associate Director of Health Promotion and Education at Western Michigan University. Recently Scott was Team Leader for Recovery Workforce Development at the Recovery Institute of Southwest Michigan Inc. and now operates Spicer's Consulting full time. "From a young age I've felt the desire to make a difference in my own community and have been working hard at that in a variety of capacities for over ten years." Scott enjoys public speaking, training and working with others to make an impact on peoples lives and create real and sustainable change.
